Services 10.30am each Sunday

We are now meeting at 10.30am for worship most Sundays, jointly with the Anglican congregation.  See events page for more information.

Harvest services

Normally at this time of year the churches in Leavening and Acklam would hold our harvest auction in the pub to raise money for charity.  We can't do that this year, but instead click here to view our harvest service and to learn more about our chosen charity, Action for Children.

We are 200 years old!

The first Methodist chapel in Leavening was opened in 1820.  Click here to watch our anniversary service.

Food Bank

Donations for the Food Bank may be left in the church kitchen when it is open, or may be put in the box in the family room of the Jolly Farmers.  The lower door to the pub is open most days, so you can go in there to get to the box.

Coronavirus is a world-wide problem, and its effects on the poor, including those in refugee camps, could be devastating.  To help please see Christian Aid's coronavirus appeal.

Leavening Methodist Church is a small group of Christians from the village of Leavening and the surrounding villages.  In ordinary times we meet for worship most Sundays, but at present we communicate using phone, email and printed information.  We work closely with our friends from the Anglican Church and share their church building.  We are part of  Ryedale Methodist Circuit.
